I laugh and pull her closer to me

Shay- "Where are you from originally?" she looked up slightly, still close to his chest.

David
"Florida" I say looking downs at her

shay- "im from denver. boring place really. My birth mother left me there at an orphanage." she shrugged and moved so she sat in his lap. her back leaned against his chest and she closed her eyes.

David
I wrap my arms around her "Oh...."

shay- "that's not so bad, I was adopted, then my adoptive mother died. thats when it all went downhill." she shook her head. "I'd rather not talk about after that."

David
"Dint worry. I'm not going to force you to tell me"

shay- "thats really nice of you. thanks." she smiled.

David
I smile "No problem"

shay- she turned her head and kissed his cheek again. "what are you doing in this small little town?"

David
I shrug "I move around a lot"

shay- "your not moving anymore are you?" she raised an eyebrow worriedly.

David
"Don't worry I only move a lot when I see there's nothing in the town that's important"

shay- she turned around and sat up on his lap. "do you see anything here thats important?"

David
I look at her and smirk "I'll tell Yiu when I see it" I say with a laugh

shay- "You do that." she smiled and kissed him again. letting her lips touch his for longer than she expected, just out of the enjoyment she got.

David
I smile and kiss her back my hand resting on her hip

shay- she pulled away and stood. "what do you think about of letting me take you out, tomorrow or something, so we can get to know eachother alot better?" _i mean, it's getting kinda late. my watch says 3 am, but it wouldnt matter to me if it was 7. i would stay out here as long as he was going to, and i could just fall asleep next to him, feeling completely safe and content._

David
"Ya sure. Why not" I smile and lay back on the blanket and look at the fire

shay- "your an outdoorsy kind of guy arent you?" she laid down on the blanket next to him and leaned up on her elbow.

David
I smile and bid "Yup"

shay- "i could tell. My mom was outdoorsy. my dad though, he liked to stay inside and watch TV and play poker with his buddies." she shivered slightly at the mention of his poker buddies and sat up quickly. "I wonder if my adoptive father is still alive? If he's looking for me?" _looking for the one that got away finally. the one that got tired of being his ragdoll._

David
I smile "Ya. I'm more of a hunting guy through"

shay- "hunting. that a good sport. what do you hunt? deer, bird, or other big game animals?" she wrapped her own arms about herself and looked at the dancing flames. the yellow intertwining with the red and orange, creating a hypnotizing image.

David
"I hunt Pheasant. A type of bird. I also hunt deer here and there"
