Jess was never as dumb as she looked. She sat, frozen and stunned. She couldn't believe her ears, or she couldn't even comprhend that. It..... it just didn't make sense to her. This made her stomach churn. She leaned back, calming down slowly. Well, that's interesting, now isn't it? She set her hands on her lap, still not getting up to answer the door, you should already know she isn't the kinda girl to, well, give up so easily. She loved to manipulate people. It's one of her.... many talents in her case, flaws in other people's cases.

Jess smirked. Now, why would I give in so easily? She leaned back, sure she liked him, but she loved to manipulate people and torture them. She lied on her side, watching the TV and her hand/elbow proping up her head. She still listened to Chase, but at the same time... ignored him, if that makes any sense.
