Okay so...

I've taken a few tests and they all say i'm depressed. I feel like i'm kind of dead...walking around but not really feeling anything. I randomly think of horribke tragedies that might happen. I randomly want my dad to come back, he moved to Washington D.C. i want to cry at random times . Everyday i sit in front of the mirror and think about how ugly i look. I have scratch marks on my face because of myself. My social worker doesn't help at all. No one helps me. My friends seem to be deserting me. Things i use to love are boring to me now. I spend all day online, trying to avoid my life. I don't like going into public, i feel like everyone is staring at me. I don't get much sleep anymore...What do i do?

Some people say its because high school is an emotional time...but im not so sure...

id say its mosty caused by your dads moving away, high school, and something else really personal deep down inside you. You also have very low self-esteem and think horribly of yourself when you shouldnt. Keep your absolute best friends close, and dont listen to the stupid bullies

I was once clinically depressed, so you can trust me Supa not to feed you any bullcrap about your situation. No one can really help you if you don't let them know what's going on and how you feel. Tell your mother or a close relative that cares about you and schedule an appointment with a doctor. I know it sounds scary, but trust me; it will help.
I know what it's like to loose all hope in life and just wish that everything and everyone would go away. I've been down that road.
My second recommendation for you is to look in the mirror everyday, and no matter how much you don't believe it now, look straight in that mirror and say, "I am beautiful." It seems stupid, but it works. ;)
Also, find a way to truly express how you feel. You can do this by writing poetry, drawing, playing an instrument, singing, or any other way you feel let's out whatever it is that you're bottling up inside. By shutting off your emotions, you'll only worsen the depression- so don't hide it, embrace it.
Supa, you're an amazing person, and I'm not just saying that to make you feel better, because it's true. You have been such a wonderful friend to others on this site; so warm, welcoming, and always there when someone needed you. You're a huge part of this social network we [the members of this site] are all a part of, and you should have the knowledge that there are several people who are here and willing to help you through this rough time.
I have been trained by professionals and some personal experience to know how to help someone who is depressed. If you ever feel like you'd be better off dead or that no one cares about your life, DON'T THINK ABOUT SUICIDE. I'm here for you, and there are so many others who are, too and we all care about you, Supa.

I have been trying that now that I read your post. Going to church also helps me. I've been trying to stay strong through the bad times recently. Like my cat almost died on Thursday night. He has been in the vet 3 times in the past 2 weeks. And i'm also lactose intolerant now. Yayyyy. I'm not really sure what close friend to talk to ....they still seem to be drifting away. I had plans with a friend for tonight and she was late so i called her and it turns out she had made plans with a new friend just today. But i'm still looking on the bright side

aw, im sorry about your cat and my prayers are with him, and hey ya got 2 close friends (in my opinion) right here, Amanda and me, good ol Taylor (and ill tell ya, i aint going nowhere) :) also glad youre going to chrch now, and looking on the bright side :D I hope your trying Kate's advice about the mirror

Oh, you're in trouble now! Now that I know you go to church, I'm assuming (something I only do when it relates to God) that you believe in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. With this knowledge, I can now tell you several things I hope will also make you feel better about yourself. :)

1.) God made you just the way he wanted you to be. To hate the way you look is to basically slap Him in the face!
2.) Always know that God is watching over you, planning ahead for a much brighter future. All you have to do is let Him. ;)
3.) God knows the life you will live- He planned it out day by day, second by second. Knowing this, know that He will only put obstacles (i.e rough times) that He knows you can handle and will only grow stronger because of it.
4.) Some where out there, God has made someone who will love you no matter what. He has already placed many of these people in your life; your family, friends, and those that care about you.

I really encourage you to take this information to heart and think back to it whenever you feel bad about yourself. Also, please don't hesitate to contact me whenever you need someone to talk to! :D I want to be here for you, Supa. As a Christian, it's my job and my honor to be there for others who need me.
