Our story takes place in the capitol of Lessin. Humans are the species that run this city, but as you get farther away from the capitol more interesting creatures appear. Elves, vampires, were-beasts, merpeople and many others.

Revenge drives a young man forward. His name:

He searches for the man who killed his brother and will not rest until he is found.

Little does he know one of the people that he ends up meeting on his journey is none other than the brother of the man he was looking for:

Name: Cayden Acacius
Species: Human/ Mutant{Stability-97%} – He was the experiment of a scientists a hundred years ago and through the tests and alterations on his body he can no longer technically be considered, therefore the best term that would describe him would be ‘mutant’ though he is still genetically a human being.

Hair Colour and Style: A very shining silver colour, his hair is long, almost down to the back of his calf, and he wears it in a ponytail. His bangs go down to his chin and often fall in front of his eyes but he tries to keep them to the sides of his face. When worn down it looks a little bit longer and ends nearly at his ankles. His hair is special in the fact that it grows much faster than a normal person. If it is cut it can grow out to the same immense length in a week’s time. This plus the fact that is incredibly manageable despite its length, something Cayden personally thinks is also due to the experiments they did on him years back and how evolved he is as a human being.
Eye Colour: Grey. His eyes are pupil-less and dull, almost glazed over and seemingly colourless. Not only colourless, his dull eyes also seem very lifeless. When he goes into his over-powered form his eyes change, they keep the same pupil-less form but let of a rather bright yellow glow, this happens when there is an overwhelming feeling of emotion: anger, sadness, confusion, etc.
Ht. & Wt.: 5’9” & 145lbs (BMI – 21.4)
General Appearance: Cayden is rather short in comparison to his body type, though the muscle and fitness of his body, as well as the length of his hair, makes him look a lot taller then he really is. Cayden is muscular to the point that he has the curves down his sides and his arms, legs, back, chest and abdominal are all clearly muscled. Cayden is not overly-muscled though and he still looks rather skinny despite the amount of muscle on his body. His skin is incredibly, almost deathly pale, which makes sense because he is actually technically dead. Facial feature wise his face is sharp. His jaw is rather defined as well as his cheek bone which is relatively low on his face. His nose has very little curve to it and is rather long. The only part of his nose that curves at all is the very tip which points almost up compared to the slope of the rest of his nose. His lips are thin and almost as pale as the rest of his skin. Clothing wise he is very particular and had always worn the same outfit: a long jacket that goes down to his lower thigh, almost the back of his knees, a pair of tight fitting leather pants, a pair of boots which go half way up to his knee and are rather form fitting with very little sole to it, and a pair of gloves with small caps over his knuckles to prevent breaking them and no fingers.

Special Abilities/Magic:

<Creating, Controlling and Relocating Gravitational Pulls> {Cayden-80% Mastered} Though this is the most basic of their abilities none of the three have it mastered. Like the piano, it is easy to learn but incredibly difficult to master. If it would take a person some 20+ years to master the piano it could easily take the three gravitational manipulators 200+ years to master this control over gravity even though it was what they were created to do. To put it into perspective that last 10% Damon is missing in the mastery of this power if the ability to control the Earth's own gravity at all, and it wouldn't be considered mastered until he could use the Earth's own gravity to collapse it in on itself. With this power they simply locate a spot with their minds and increase or decrease the pull of gravity in that area. The mastery of this ability relates to the strength and overall range of the user. Cayden has had the most practice with this ability and is very good at doing it whenever and where ever to the point where his powers are pretty even matched with his brother's. He can control a good km-squared of land with this power for an extended amount of time though generally nothing past leg breaking strength, he, nor Phelan, has the ability to kill a person with this ability alone yet. In over-power though he can use force enough to kill a person. He can keep this up for a long time without getting fatigued in both forms.
<Shields>{Cayden-85% Mastered} This is probably the second most basic technique that the powers grant the three gravity manipulators. The shields are quite effective in protecting from projectiles or another person. The range of this is very close to the user, usually no more than a few inches away from their palms at best. It is pretty much the utilization of their simplest power which is creating and controlling gravitational pulls. With this he creates a small wall instead of selecting a spot and increase or decrease the gravity to that area, so the projectile either slows and hovers completely (when gravity is decreased) or immediately falls to the ground (when gravity is increased). The mastery does not have anything to do with its ability to work but more the length it can be held up and how large the shield can get. Cayden is by far the most accurate with it because his shields cannot cover a range more than just his own size, when not in over-power. And when he creates a shield at its fullest it can only last for two minutes. Because of this he has a tendency to make a lot of little ones. He has perfect timing in creating them and taking them down and is very good at telling where the point of impact would be and knows where to put the shield as well. So in his own way he has the power mastered. It would take him many, many more years to be able to hold a wall size shield for more than five minutes. In his over-power he can hold a nearly wall size shield for about three minutes, but it almost completely drains him of power.
<Pulses> {Cayden-50% Mastered} With pulses they create a small centre of gravity in thin air, something that if done too much can seriously damage the gravitational pull of the Earth, to pull the air around it closer and quite a bit more dense though still gas in a near solid form, it is invisible for the most part since the molecules in the air would rarely condense with one another because they won't have any sort of attraction to their neighbour. These circular masses of near condensed air he can use to throw at enemies. A cruder form of this is to create a small, palm-sized shield (as described above) and push it forwards, it doesn't have the same speed but if done at a close range can knock someone down, if done from a long range could wind a person and make them stagger, but is far from the power of a proper circular projectile like one. Cayden is not good at the real version of this power, it is not in his power to be able to create them, and so he uses the more crude method of throwing shields at the enemy instead. He is very good with the smaller shields so he can use them rather efficiently but it is still not as powerful as the attacks his brother can pull off. Despite not being able to use the power properly it is still one of his favourites. In over-power he can use the pulses to nearly the same extent his brother can use them but again, it greatly fatigues his body to use it like that.
<Walls> {Cayden-75% Mastered} This is a combination of pulses and shields. Walls are generally incredibly large shields that span a large space, and are nearly unavoidable and dangerous when in an enclosed space. Like the pulse the large shield is pushed towards the enemy and can either push them away or over or press them up against a wall and crush them, which is what they're more useful for. He is unable to do them in his normal form, the closest he can do to a wall is the pulses he does with the small shields. In over-power though he can do a rather large wall and can keep it up for a rather long amount of time.
<Other Physical Abilities> Cayden’s experiments did not at all effect his body. The only reason he is faster or stronger then a lot of normal human is because he has gone through 100 years of intense training so his body would be strong enough to use the powers he had. Overall, physically he is about the same strength as a normal, well trained human, nothing all that special about the way he keeps his body and the way he can run and lift. The strength is a bonus though it does help him use his powers and it is a good fall back since he doesn’t like to use his powers all that much in the first place.

Personality: Cayden has a very rude personality to put it simply. He's the kind of person who will be like 'who the fuck are you and what do you want with my life' with people he doesn't know or doesn't like, which in reality is most people. He is very sarcastic in most situations but when it comes to actually judging people he is very blunt, he will point out every flaw a person has and will not care whether he hurts them or not. These traits in conjunction with one another makes him seem like a real jackass, which in hindsight he is, and he won’t disagree with a person who calls him one. He thinks of himself above most people and doesn’t care what other people think because if a person think there’s something wrong with the way he is he simply disagrees with them. When he does stick around with a person long enough for him to consider them a ‘friend’ he does show a rather caring side. He is still both sarcastic and blunt he has more of an ear for the person’s opinions and doesn’t openly hate them. He often hides his real emotions with a glare or a smirk and is overall very difficult to read, especially when he doesn’t want someone to be able to read him.

His thoughts on life are that everything is just a game. Everything he does is part of a much bigger game that he could either win or lose. He has his mind set on winning this game, and he has rather strict rules and conditions for winning this game for himself. To win this game he has to have killed the scientists who created them, after escaping from them (it wouldn’t count if he had killed them before he escaped or was in the process of escaping), he has to make sure Phelan is stopped, whether that is killed or simply handicapped does not matter as long as Phelan is no longer able to use his powers, lastly he has to live a long life relatively well off, whether this is because he has a job or because he found the money but other, less civil way, doesn’t matter. The only way he can 100% lose the game is if he is killed. He has to restart the game if he is ever recaptured.

Over-Power is brought up a lot in the abilities and this is my explanation as to what it was. It was briefly explained in the definition of his eyes and his general appearance, since those are slightly altered during this little ‘transformation’. When Cayden is in a over emotional state (when incredibly frustrated, angry, sad, confused, stimulated, even nervous) he goes into this ’Over-Power’ state. In this state his power is enhanced well past what it normally is. If we were to put it on a scale of 1 – 100 of how powerful he is. He would normally be between 25 and 40, in Over-Power he is easily 65- 80. This is also a sign of un-stability which is the reason it only really happens when not only he is put into an over emotional state but usually only when in a battle setting, when he is in a fighting sort of mode to begin with. In over-power he still knows exactly what he’s doing he can still control everything about himself and is completely in control, except for the fact that he kind of loses it. Over-power does affect his mind in the sense that it makes him go a little crazy and he has a tendency to have a craving for battle and violence when he is like this. Over-power abuses his power and makes him grow overly tired very quickly, but the affects of that don’t show until the power fades and then he is very likely to pass out. In overpower things around him tend to lose their gravitational pull, especially small objects, this is very clear from the way his hair seems to float around his body when he is like this.
<Sexual Orientation> Asexual – he is physically unable to be attracted to a person and it, for the most part, impotent anyways.
<Fighting Style> Though rather prone to violence he does dislike it, he doesn’t like to use his powers often because he knows how much it effects his body and he hates being weakened by his own strength. When he does fight though he moves to make the other person unable to move before striking close up, though he finds it very hard to kill a person and often won’t for the lack of the means in which to do it.

Background: Before Cayden was turned into what he was he had a completely different life. He was nothing special, he was a normal human teenager that grew like a normal human and aged like a normal person. He and his twin brother grew up in a very dysfunctional family, his parents often fought and it made him a little bit more anti-social, like his brother who was always to himself. He was only truly to himself inside of the house though not one to give up an outing with friends, and definitely not picky when it came to anything sexual, bringing many people home with him.

His brother once pushed him into experimenting, the two of them going as far as having sex, and this got Cayden very, very paranoid to the point where he was scared of everyone finding out that he had done it with his twin brother, and he would try to cover it up by sleeping around and staying out for days at a time, not noticing at all that his mother was slowly starting to lose it and that his brother was starting to talk to him less and less. At least, he didn’t notice it until their father died and their mother poisoned the both of them, though at this point he has the idea that his brother had known about this and knew that they were going to be killed, and the fact that he was alright with it disgusted him for his last moments. For his last moments he felt nothing but hatred as he glared at his brother’s already dead body.

Cayden woke up five years after he was killed not remember a single thing about his past and how he had lived before he had died. The person who was there when he woke up explained a lot to him while he was still going through serious pain due to the test that were supposed to make him more stable and keep his powers from fluctuating. Though the experiments to keep him stable weren’t very successful and he ended up breaking many of the containers which they held him in (in hindsight his powers were much stronger in his first few years than they were after he was stable). He even seriously injured the scientist’s assistant in one of these accidents causing him to be hospitalized for nearly a month.

Despite everything, all the things the scientist had told him while trying to calm him down did stick; the hypersensitivity of his brain during that time had done a very good job of absorbing each and every one of his words. So when he did cool down he did have a good understanding of what he was and what his powers were. Why he was created was never explained in detail, the old man would only say ‘for the sake of furthering science’. Cayden didn’t like the answer but he accepted it because he really saw no reason why he should hate this man who treated him rather well.

The old man was getting on in age, but after Cayden showed signs of being stable he was allowed to wander around the institute floor where he was trained and experimented on, and even had a decent place to sleep, though he was never given an actual bed. He was taught a lot about humans and how humans acted and he easily kept notes on it learning about different emotions and ways of acting. Cayden was quite grateful for these lessons, though he already seemed to know them they did need this sort of verbal trigger to be remembered and he wondered what he had been like before he had died, because the scientist had told him that he had picked up Cayden’s body when he had already been dead, he had even been told that his hair beforehand had been blond and his eyes had been blue not the silver and grey they were now.

On the other hand there was the man’s assistant who truly hated Cayden for reasons Cayden wasn’t sure of. One day he got the news that the scientist was dead, reasons were not given to him, and that the assistant was now in charge of the project. By this time Phelan was about 15 years into being incubated. Cayden was restricted to a thick metal cage and things were changed drastically. He was chained up nearly 24 hours a day and whenever he were to misbehave a nearly lethal shock was sent through his body through the chains that connected him to the floor.

During the next 15 years the new scientist appointed his son and his daughter at a very young age, to be his successors and they started to come in and he would show them everything, his favourite this to show them had to be the button that electrocuted Cayden, and the kids seemed to find it funny the way he would convulse and scream and lose control of himself for a moment and would have fun trying it for themselves. It was a horrible time in which Cayden was rarely let out of his cage. He noticed though that they would attempt to sedate him when they brought him out for training and right off the bat he played along with it letting them think that the amount that they gave him was enough to actually sedate him and went along with it though he was actually completely functional while he faked it.

Slowly he was beginning to be neglected by the scientists mostly watched by guards who seemed to like to gossip when they were around him. It was very slow but he started to hear a new name be brought up. The new name was Phelan, a man who had under gone the same experiments as Cayden but was supposedly nearly double Cayden’s own strength. He was being ignored so they could perfect this other abomination. Though they did come in every once and a while to run their usual painful tests and ensure that he was indeed still alive and kicking and able to feel the pain they were giving him.

He wondered to himself what Phelan was like whether he would be taught the same things Cayden had been taught and whether he would understand emotion as much as Cayden did or if he would just become a mindless killing machine that these messed up people seemed to want. Though it was very clear just from being silent that the other man was not stable at all, the sound of things breaking were constant for month, yells could be heard, loud cursing and eventually it quieted considerably and he figured he had either stabilized or they had managed to contain him, and if they had managed to contain him then only bad things could be waiting for Cayden around the bend.

Nothing horrible happened though and they even started to talk more about Phelan to him explaining the other man’s situation as though they had no one else to share these finds with, which they really didn’t since the project was top secret. Cayden wasn’t very shy to tell them exactly what he thought about Phelan, that from the sounds of things the other man was never going to be as stable as Cayden was and that whatever they had in mind would fail with someone who could not be controlled like Phelan, and shocking as it may have been they did agree with him on this point. They were not powerful enough to deal with Phelan as he had thought they were and it was very clear that they were scared of Phelan and the fact that they could not contain the other who Cayden wanted to meet.

One say this one little wish was granted and they brought the two of them into a training room Cayden had been left so the drugs would wear off before they brought Phelan in. The other man’s appearance was very similar to Cayden’s own and he frowned as he looked him over as though something else was incredibly familiar about the other man, something that really seemed to tick him off something that made him want to kill this man right then and there. It seemed to affect Phelan much worse though and getting close to Cayden sent him into Over-Power and he was quickly knocked out and dragged away which only proved that Cayden was right, that man was far from stable. Though he did wonder what had seemed too familiar about the purple haired experiment.

In the next few years after his meeting with Phelan, during one of the transportations to the training area he was able to escape, attacking the guards and making a break for it, for they had still not clued into the fact that he was faking being sedated. Using his memory of the place from when he had been allowed to roam around he made his way out the front door and out into the street of the city. He made a break for it and despite not wanting to be completely effected by the drug he was a little and ended up collapsing not that far away from the government building from which he had escaped. Luckily for him a couple found him and brought him home, taking care of him for a couple days, helping him and nursing him to his usual self, asking far too many questions which Cayden was far too eager to answer.

In the next couple days though he was found and the two who had been taking care of him were killed before his eyes before he was brought back to his little cell, kept a much tighter hold on and they made sure that he was completely out of it before transporting him anywhere. The punishments he had to endure because of this were incredibly intense, they seemed to have upped his dosage of electricity that jolted from that button and they found other ways of torturing him, testing new weapons on him and he found no way to hold back the screams that tore from him.

Everything after that was kept at about the same, he wasn’t allowed to leave his little cell and there always had to be someone watching him. He hated it, but he could deal with it, they slowly stopped punishing him and seemed to be much more interested in Phelan to even bother training him anymore, just every once and a while they would take him out see if he’d improved, have conversations with him then put him away again for weeks at a time. He would admit though he did enjoy eavesdropping on the people who came in to watch him, and having rude conversations with the scientists up until they decided to shut him up by shocking him.

He lived out the next few years like this before something happened that was actually different from every other day. Phelan escaped, he escaped flawless and for days people were running around outside trying to find ways to bring him back and Cayden just hummed angrily to himself, and when they finally came in to tell him that Phelan had escaped he said that they should have been more careful with him, that they should have known he was not stable enough to even be transported. It was only truly sad because they seemed to agree with him, but they would refuse to let the fact that they agreed be shown by shocking him and knocking him out.

He listened for nearly three weeks about how Phelan escaped and exactly how they did it and he found it quite amusing, thinking that he himself would be able to do it too, if he followed Phelan’s route and avoided getting shot by the crazy scientists. His chances started appearing too. Since Phelan had disappeared they had turned back to Cayden, though they intended to use him to bring Phelan back, thinking that Cayden would be their only chance in doing so properly. They started to train him again, more intense.

He used one of these times to escape, trying the exact same thing Phelan had tried and succeeding exactly as the other man had, but instead of taking to open street when he was finally out of the building; instead of going on a rampage; he stuck to the shadows and escaped the same way.

Once he was over the wall and out in the surrounding world he could look back and laugh. He knew his flight was not quite over and it wouldn’t be completely finished until the people who had tormented him for these long years were killed by his own hand and he swore to himself that he would one day kill them, he would become powerful and he would free himself forever. He would win the game that was ‘life’. He would rather die than be captured again.

Name: Phelan
Species: Human/Mutant {Stability-75%}– Phelan was created by the two people who took over for the scientist who created Cayden. The two had deemed Cayden a failure because of his lack of power so they set to copy the experiment but hone the power that Cayden could unlock in a shorter period of time. This though led to Phelan being very unstable and prone to break down and power fluctuations. This work on his body, altering him from what is considered the norm in human beings is what brings the term ‘mutant’ about.

Personality: Very quiet and forever serious. He does not know how to take a joke, always takes everything seriously and it causes him to snap if something that is said bothers him, and when he gets angry people die. He rarely talks in a way people can understand, or he doesn’t speak at all letting his actions speak for himself. He is very to the point though, and is quick to resort to punishment, with someone he is forced to stay around, it they do something he does not approve of or thinks is stupid.

<Fighting Style> Phelan is definitely one for torture, he loves to hold out battles as long as possible and play with his enemies before finally killing them, but despite this love for torture he doesn’t like to get dirty and often keeps the opponent completely void of open wounds and he will kill them in a way that will not cause horrible wounds. His preferred method of finishing someone off is creating a gravity in their head and imploding their brain in on itself. It’s mess free and 100% effective.

Background: Before death Phelan was a calm young man with a very weak will, very often acting on impulse and it got him into a lot of trouble when it was in regard to his identical twin brother. Curiosity and this lack of will got the better of him and he did end up experimenting with his brother which neither of them disliked in the end and it would happen every once and a while. After this though Cayden seemed to bring more and more people home as though she was scared of people finding out about their fooling around, making Phelan almost hateful towards the people Cayden brought home. He was the first one to notice that their mother was losing it but he did not breathe a word of it to his twin. When their father died he could clearly see his mother’s intent days before she acted on it and didn’t warn Cayden in the least before it happened. He willing killed himself and let his brother die at the hands of their mother so he could keep his brother away from all the people he would bring home.

Phelan woke up from this death 30 years later with no recollection of his life before. He kept the same body but his hair had changed from the beautiful shining blond to a deep purple shade, his eyes had drained of colour and were now a very reflective silver. Not that he was aware they had changed. The day he woke up he went completely crazy destroying nearly anything with reach within seconds. Right from the moment he was brought back he was aware that he was a terrible beast that had no right living, and it was these thoughts that fuelled every one of his actions afterwards.

He was told about a man named Cayden who was being kept in the same building as he was that had the same powers and how they had claimed him a failure. They praised Phelan more than anything; they said that where Cayden had failed Phelan would be absolutely perfect. Phelan would bring the world to its knees and let them finally taste victory. Something about human becoming the superior race no longer having to hide behind walls from the truth that lay just beyond their front door. Phelan didn’t care for their plan, he would take their praise, he would take their training he would become powerful but it was not for them. He was disgusted with himself.

He was constantly told that no matter how powerful he was he was not stable enough to be let out into the world without fear of a mental breakdown and ruining their plans. They didn’t want to admit that the work that indeed damaged Phelan’s mind to the point where if he were brought into a highly emotional state he would destroy everything around his person and himself as well and it would be too risky to let him out. Phelan couldn’t help but find this amusing, even more amusing after he heard more about Cayden and how the other shared the same views as the scientists on the fact that Phelan ‘wasn’t as stable as he was’. It was strange, Phelan thought, that even though he had never met the silverette he felt immediately pinned against him, as though there was something deeper behind the non-existent relationship they had.

After this he only met Cayden once, again Phelan though it was strange that just seeing him was enough to fill him with rage the way it did. Just getting within ten feet of him sent him into over-power, though it didn’t seem to affect Cayden at all, and they had to lock him back up. It was very clear that the scientists were terrified of Phelan’s power, and they were far from scared of Cayden. The thought would make Phelan laugh.

After this run in with Cayden though the scientists decided to tell Phelan something that they hadn’t really wanted to. He hadn’t particularly cared until they said that they hadn’t even told Cayden about it, and when he knew that much there was no way he could not want to know what it was that they were hiding from Cayden. Though he was a failure in their eyes they sure did seem to trust him with a lot more than they trusted Phelan with. They told Phelan that before Cayden was in fact related to him by blood, that the two of them were twin brothers. The information confused Phelan but for some reason it did indeed make sense, but he had to ask why he couldn’t remember Cayden at all. They said it was because when they were brought back from the dead their memories of their past life was completely gone, and they also made sure to tell him that they knew nothing of his past and didn’t really care about it so it would be better for Phelan if he didn’t bother to ask, especially since, apparently, they got enough of that from Cayden quite regularly.

He heard later of an attempted escape by Cayden where he did manage to escape without being found for five days before he was eventually brought back to the facility and he was kept under constant watch. He wasn’t a moron and could tell how Cayden was being punished. The people who took care of him while the scientists ‘talked’ to Cayden seemed kind of bothered by the horrible screams that echoed through the entire building though Phelan simply found them intriguing. He wondered if they knew he could hear them, he had always been able to hear them; it was strange for Cayden’s pained screams to echo through every single room. He had been informed that he was hooked up to the same mechanism Cayden was, he was set up so that they could send a shock, which would kill a normal person, at the push of a button. Though maybe this was meant to scare him out of attempting exactly what Cayden did.

The scientists had said it themselves: ‘where Cayden had failed Phelan would be absolutely perfect’. In the same predicament, during transport between training and his cell he escaped, killing a person while he did so. They shot at him with specialty weapons that were meant not to kill him but stun him and drain his power, but they had yet to create weapons that they could use on Phelan, all of their weapons were meant for the weaker and more snobbish Cayden so they were not ready to fight of Phelan, and even then the shots all but missed as though they were scared to hit him. It made him laugh; he meant it this time as he laughed in pure and utter amusement. The shots that his him only fuelled his rage sent him spiralling up into over-power and the shots seemed to stop altogether and he brought himself through a passage which he had heard discussed before and out onto the street of the large human run city above.

He created a massacre that day, killing dozens of humans as he made his way to his freedom. Unlike Cayden who had stayed inside the country when he escaped Phelan made a break for the wall. At the moment he did not think at all that he couldn’t clear it and it truly just took one great bound for him to jump the wall and that was it he was free. He had left the scientists with words of warning; he was going to see to it that no more abominations like himself were created ever again. He had always listened to what they said, he absorbed every single word they ever said and he knew exactly where he had to go to destroy every spec of information those people kept hidden over the world, and again his absolute perfection would ensure his own personal victory.

Others are out there… others that Phelan has ruined, others that are seeking treasure, others who are simply keen on adventuring. And Kai finds himself with a couple of them. These people are:
