Jasper walked into his gym class on the first day of school and promptly laid down on the pads in the corner. "You gonna participate?" Yelled the gym teacher. Jasper threw an arm over his eyes and yelled back," not unless I have motivation." The gym teacher sighed. He knew it was pretty hard to motivate Jasper. His friends weren't in this class and so far he hadn't noticed any hot girls. Sigh. He peeked at the other people walking laps in the gym before closing his eyes again.

Ashlynne walked into her new school, late of course, and grabbed a schedule from the from office. First period? Gym. Fuunn.... Not. She hurried to the gym and walked in, the sound of squeaking sneakers on the gym floor giving her a headache. Everyone got quiet and turned to stare at her. Half way into second quarter and being the new girl was no fun. The stocky teacher looked up at her and smiled. "Ah, you must be Miss... Denali?" Ashlynne nodded and stayed where she was. "Well, go ahead and get dressed out, then come join the rest of the class. Walking past a bunch of people, girls glared, guys whistled, and some people just didn't care. Ash was small, and fairly pretty, which generally attracted a lot of attention. On her way to the locker room she passed a guy just laying on a mat and when she walked into the locker room, there was guys changing and football posters everywhere. She screamed, sheilded her eyes, and ran out.

Jasper heard footsteps heading towards the locker rooms. He peeked at who was going to pass him and opened his eyes fully when he saw this adorable girl. He sat up when she passed and watched her go into the wrong locker room. "Crap!" He said, not realizing he had said it aloud. He jumped up and ran to her rescue, barging into the locker room. He grabbed her hand and shielded her eyes as he pulled her out of the room full of half naked guys. He let go of her once they got out. "You okay?" His concern was short-living. It was kinda funny she had gone into the wrong room. "You realize you're a girl...girls go in the girl's locker room, love." He pointed at the other door then held his hand out to her. "I'm Jasper."

Ashlynne held boy's hand and let him lead her out. "Yeah im fine, thanks." she said hostily. then she began to laugh. "gee, i hadnt noticed." ash blushed and looked at the floor. then she looked up at the boy who was a lot taller than her. smiling a little, she held out her  hand. "im ashlynne." her long, gorgeous brown hair fell in perfect waves alost down to her waist and her eyes were grey with turquoise flecks. she wore just a little bit of mhakeup and was about 5'3 and 110 lbs. her herher

Couldn't resist telling you...lol I'm modeling this guy after my real life bf...same personality....stuff like that. And your girl kinda sounds like me lol....same long brown hair almost down to my waist, well, different eyes though, and im 5"2...but only like...97 lbs....lol....Jasper is going to be as tall as my bf is...about 6" so....yeah. haha....

Jasper held up his hands as if in surrender when he heard the slight hostility in her voice. A smile appeared on his face when she laughed. It was such a nice sound. And oh...such a pretty smile. "Nice to meet you Ashlynne." He realized someone was watching them and he glanced behind him to see the gym teacher staring at them. There was a note of amusement in his look. Jasper rolled his eyes and turned to face the girl again. He knew what the teacher was thinking: finally some motivation for Jasper! Whatever. He wanted to show the teacher he wasn't going to be swayed quite that easily. "Okay. I'll see you later." Said Jasper, turning and heading back to the mat. Once he got there he promptly collapsed on top of it with a lazy groan as if he had been standing all day.

Jasper heard footsteps approaching his mat and he glanced up, seeing Ashlynne again. He sat up with a groan like it took all of his energy. After rubbing his eyes he squinted at her, like he had just woken up. Which he kind of had...he had momentarily fallen asleep. When she asked if he was in trouble, he snorted with laughter. "In trouble? Me? My middle name is Trouble." He chuckled and rubbed his eyes again. "My name? Yeah. I guess I never told you." He paused, just staring at her with this dopey expression on his face. "You want to be friends?" He thought about it for a moment. "Yeah, I guess. I mean, you seem kinda cool." He shrugged as if it was nothing. But really he was thinking: pretty girl+friendship status=me likey. He realized she seemed to be waiting for something when he realized he still hadn't told her his name. "Oh. Well, f***. Forgot again. I'm Jasper." He said, a small smile turning up the corners of his mouth.

Ashlynne laughed a little, but then stopped herself because she hated her laugh. She laughed like a four year old. When he told her his name, she smiled. "I like that name." She said quietly, mostly to herself. When the bell rang, she got up off the mat and slung her backpack over her shoulder. Her and Jasper had spent the whole period talking and laughing on the mat, the teacher occasionally throwing them dirty looks.

"Would you mind helping me find my next class?" ((If it's okay with you I'm just thinking they could have the same classes?)) So they walked to their next class together, math and he sat in the back left corner and she sat three desks over, in between a couple of overly preppy girls who insisted on passing notes over Ash's desk. In her notebook she doodled a whole bunch of different things. A few hearts, some flowers, and a crap ton of stars. Then in tiny cursive on the bottom corner, she scribbled his name. She had started to like him a lot, even in just the last hour. 

Classes passed by like nothing, and at the end of the day, Ash waited for Jasper outside of the music room. It was the only class they didn't have together. She had music and he had a different class. Ashlynne was a singer and she also played piano. So, she waited for him, pulling out her phone and calling her mom. As usual, her mom was working a late shift, then she yelled at Ash as always, then she told her that her fourteen year old freshman sister needed a ride to her friends' house..

When Jasper finally showed up she smiled. "Hey so do you wanna hang out...? I mean if not that's cool too... But I don't really have other friends yet and I also need to find Christina a ride to her friends' house or something." She pulled out her iPhone and texted  Chris saying to meet her in the parking lot in ten minutes.

Jasper heard the bell ring and looked up at it sleepily. "Crap. There goes my nap. I'll sleep in my other classes." He got up and stepped off the mat, running his hand through his hair. "What class do you have next?" He asked, slurring slightly from being so tired. When he saw that she had math he led her to their class. He sat in the back corner and watched as she sat in a desk a few desks away. She was stuck between two of the annoying preppy girls. He folded his arms on the desk and laid his head down, closing his eyes to catch a little nap. When he awoke it was the end of the period. At the end of the last period of the day he walked out of art and down to the music room where he was supposed to meet Ashlynne. He smiled when he saw her, glad she hadn't left yet. He leaned against the wall, wide away from the naps he had had during every period except gym and art. He liked art. "You guys need a ride? I ride home with a friend of mine. Not sure if you wanna come with us though..." He bit his lip and looked away, knowing he wasn't exactly a 'good boy' and neither was his friend. "We can hang out, if you wanna come with me we can go to this cool park nearby."

Jasper was kind of worried about what would happen when she met his friend. She'd probably back out of the offer for a ride for the sake of her and her sister's safety. They met her sister outside and his friend pulled up. "Hey Damien, we're gonna give these girls a ride." Damien smiled and held up a bag of some unknown drug. "Do they smoke?" Jasper quickly grabbed the bag and shoved it under the back seat. "Damien..." He growled. Damien gave an innocent looked and opened the door for Ashlynne's sister to sit in front next to him. Jasper opened the back door and let Ash get in first before he scooted in. He talked with her for a while, not really noticing that they were the only ones talking. They let Christina out of the car at her friend's house then continued driving. When she mentioned his place he bit his lip and looked out the window. "Uh. My place?" He didn't notice that they were close enough to be touching, which they were. "I....." He stopped and glanced up at Damien who looked back at Jasper with a look in the mirror. He cleared his throat. "I don't uh...have a house...really...."

Ashlynne frowned. "Oh, okay. Then let's just go to the park!" She quickly perfected her fake smile and glanced down at their hands again. "Oh..." She said quietly, pulling her hand away. When they got to the park it was already almost dark, because in Winter 6 o'clock looked the same as midnight. They got out of the car, Ash thanked his friend, then he drove off. She looked up at Jasper smiling a little.

"So what're we gunna do?" Before he could answer her question, she started wandering off towards the trees,  and it began to snow. Assuming he would follow her, she just kept walking. Eventually she stopped abruptly and twirled around, not expecting him to be so close. She twirled right into him and tripped a little, but he caught her. *wink wink* Looking up she looked right into his eyes then blushed and looked away. *WINK WINK HINT HINT OMG*

Jasper almost breathed a sigh of relief when she didn't pester him about his place. They drove to the park and got out. Damien said he'd be back later to pick them up, Jasper just had to call when they were ready. He'd show her his place eventually. It wasn't really anything to be proud about. It was as dark as midnight because it was winter and it was 8 o'clock. He headed towards the playground, towards his slide, but then he saw her head towards the forest. He frowned and followed her as she walked deep into the trees. It began snowing and he pulled his leather jacket tighter around him. It wasn't too cold yet, but his jacket was huge on him so there was a draft. He didn't realize how close he was to her until she twirled around and tripped, falling into his arms. He watched her meet his eyes then blush and move away. "Erm....you okay?" He asked, averting his eyes as he helped her stand then let go of her, shoving his hands in his pockets.

Jasper watched her as she stepped close. A hint of a smile played on his lips as he looked down at her. He was much taller than her. Almost a foot so. He noticed her cheeks and nose turning red. She must be freezing! "Oh. Come with me. We can sit on my slide, it's much warmer." His eyes widened when he realized how that sounded. "Not my slide....er....just my slide." He chuckled and put his arm around her, guiding her back to the playground. There was a tube slide that was covered on the top. He slid into the opening and slid about halfway down, the wind was blocked so it was pretty warm in there when you added in his body heat. "C'mon." He said to Ash, patting the spot next to him.

Ash laughed when he called it his slide and followed him to the blue tube slide. She let him crawl in first and then followed close behind, sliding down right next to him and leaning against him. "Sorry about back there, I'm crazy..." She felt guilty for almost kissing him, he probably didn't like her and they would always be just friends. Whatever, she could live with that. Orrrr so she thought(: Glancing over at him, she found him watching her and smiling. "What?" She asked quietly and self-consciously. Was her make up messed up or something? Why was he smiling like that?
