Need guy advice...

Okay so in 6th grade this guy asked me to the school dance. I went with him then ditched him because he was skipping around and it was embarassing. He asked me out again in 8th grade and I said 'maybe' but I didn't really mean it. It was too soon to date. Now I see him around school and I really miss talking to him. I would totally go out with him now if he asked me. He seems shy around me now. I was going to ask him out today but I keep chickening out. The best I said to him was 'hi'. What do I do?! I really want to ask him out but I'm afraid to.

If he likes you, he would probably be to discouraged to go up and ask you after you rejecting him so many times. It's your time to make the first move. Forget the whole "the guy akss out the girl" because that has bullshit in every space and letter. But, if you do decide to get courage and make a move, don't get your hopes up. He might not like you anymore after being rejected and ditched, so if he says no, don't spend to much time getting down about it.

Also, maybe it would be safe to just take it slow? Start with talking to him again, then flirting, and then asking him out on a date? If you go straight away and ask him out on a date, he might get a little freaked.
